Lotus365 Image License & Usage Terms

This page outlines the official licensing and usage terms for all images provided by Lotus365.photos. By downloading or using any image from Lotus365, you agree to adhere to the following conditions. These terms are designed to be clear, legally sound, and easily understood by users. Images from Lotus365 are not free to use without proper attribution. Please read the sections below to understand what is permitted and how to correctly credit our images.

Attribution Required for Free Use

You may not use Lotus365 images for free without giving appropriate credit. All free usage of our photos requires a visible attribution to Lotus365.photos. This means that if you incorporate a Lotus365 image on a website, social media post, presentation, or any other project without paying a licensing fee, you must clearly credit the source.

How to provide attribution: Include a credit notice near the image or in your project’s credits. For example:

  • Photo by Lotus365.photos – placed in the image caption or at the bottom of a blog post.
  • Image courtesy of Lotus365.photos – with “Lotus365.photos” either in plain text or as a hyperlink to our site.
  • For video usage, add a credit in the end credits or description (e.g., “Image from Lotus365.photos”).

The attribution should be visible and legible to viewers. Simply put, if you use our images at no cost, you are legally required to credit Lotus365.photos. Using our photos without this credit is considered unauthorized use (see Enforcement below). If you are unable or unwilling to provide attribution, you must obtain explicit permission or a paid license (see Contact section) before using the image.

Permitted Uses (With Proper Credit)

Under this license, you are free to use Lotus365 images in a variety of projects as long as you include the required attribution. Some examples of allowed uses include:

  • Personal & Non-Commercial Use: Feel free to use our photos on your personal blog, school project, or social media with a credit to Lotus365.photos. This includes educational presentations, academic papers, or personal creative works, provided the image credit is given.
  • Commercial & Business Use: Lotus365 images can be used by businesses, organizations, and brands in marketing materials, websites, advertisements, and other commercial applications with proper attribution. This means a company can use an image in a brochure, on a product packaging, or in a YouTube video, as long as “Lotus365.photos” is visibly credited. There is no additional fee required for commercial use under this free license – the only condition is that you must credit us.
  • Online & Print Publications: Whether you’re a blogger, journalist, or content creator, you may embed our photos in articles, reports, or posts with a caption or note attributing Lotus365.photos. Print publications (like magazines or flyers) can also include our images if “Image from Lotus365.photos” is printed near the image or in a credits section.

By following the attribution requirement, you have broad permission to share and display Lotus365 content. We want our images to be widely used and enjoyed, so we allow both non-commercial and commercial usage, provided that credit is given to acknowledge the source.

Modifications and Derivative Works

You are allowed to modify, edit, and adapt Lotus365 images, but attribution is still required for the resulting work. Feel free to resize or crop the photo, adjust colors or filters, add text or graphics on top, or otherwise creatively remix our images to suit your needs. These derivative works can be used just like the original image (in personal or commercial projects) as long as you credit Lotus365.photos. Even if you make significant changes to an image, do not remove any Lotus365 branding or watermark (see next section) and do not omit the attribution. For example, if you use our photo as a background and add your own graphics to it, you should still include a notice such as “Background image from Lotus365.photos”. The goal is to ensure that Lotus365 is credited for the original imagery, even when that imagery has been altered or incorporated into a new design. In summary, editing our images is permitted and encouraged for creative use, but credit must remain. Modifying an image does not remove the obligation to acknowledge Lotus365 as the source.

Branding and Watermarks

Many Lotus365 images may contain a small Lotus365 logo, watermark, or brand identifier. These branding elements must remain visible when you use the image. You are not allowed to remove, obscure, or crop out the Lotus365 watermark or logo from any image. The presence of our watermark helps indicate the source of the photo and serves as a built-in attribution. It also protects our content by reminding viewers that the image is copyrighted and licensed through Lotus365.

  • Do not use software or editing tricks to erase or hide the Lotus365 logo/watermark on the image.
  • If you need to crop or resize the image and a watermark is present, you must ensure the cropped result still shows the watermark. If that’s not possible, then you must include a textual credit nearby to compensate.
  • You may add your own text or branding in addition to ours (for example, overlaying your company name or a quote on the image), but the original Lotus365 mark should still be there and clear.

Remember, the watermark is part of our attribution requirement. Any use of our images should either display our watermark or include a written credit to Lotus365.photos (and ideally both). Removing our branding not only violates these terms but also defeats the purpose of offering the images under an attribution-required license.

Contact & Permission Requests

We understand that there may be special cases or questions regarding image use. If you cannot meet the standard attribution requirement or if you’re interested in using Lotus365 images without credit, in exclusive projects, or in ways not covered by this free license, please contact us to request permission or a custom license. We are open to discussing licensing options that accommodate your needs (which may involve a licensing fee or written permission).

For any inquiries or permission requests, reach out to us at contact@lotus365.com. Our team will review your request and respond with possible solutions, such as providing a paid license for use without attribution, granting written consent for a particular project, or advising on the proper way to credit the image in your scenario.

You can also contact us if you have questions about these terms or are unsure how to credit an image properly. We’re here to help you use our images correctly and to everyone’s benefit.
